Western Mining History : Reliving the Industrial Revolution of the West

You have probably noticed that the Western Mining History website contains advertisements. These advertisements only generate enough revenue to pay for basic monthly expenses. Over the course of the eight plus years that I have operated this website, I have contributed thousands of hours of time and a significant amount of money to the operation of the site. Unfortunately, my ability to fund continued improvements has come to an end.

I love mining history and I have big plans for this site! Please read my recent post "About the Western Mining History Website" (click here) to get updated on who I am, the website, and future plans.

Your donations would be used for the following needs in 2012:

1. Backend fixes to the database and scripts.

2. Addition of a building record to the database. Like mine records, this will allow individual historic buildings within towns to be profiled and photographed. These new records will be the foundation for future efforts to identify historic buildings in need of preservation.

3. Research into a potential non-profit structure to take WMH to an entirely new level!
