Hydraulic Gold Mining 21 Inch Gate Valve

Used at You Bet-Red Dog Diggin's east of Nevada City periodically 1880-1935 to control water flow from Chale Bluff Reservoir to the mine. Hydraulic nozzle mounted opposite was operatedat that mine by Thomas B Brady (1874-1964).
Manufactured by Joshua Hendy Works, San Francisco. Wt 1,500 lbs approx.
A gift from the Brady family.
